TORREVENTO VINEYARD

The Torrevento vineyard , founded in1989, is set in the Alta Murgia highlands in the province of Bari. Dominated by Frederick the Second’s castle Castel de Monte, the 400 hectares of vines produce some two million bottles a year. All the wines are produced using local apulian grape varieties and many have received awards from the most prestigious Italian wine guides. The wines are aged in the traditional manner, using steel barrels rather than the now more popular French wood.
